HARRY B. DOREMUS THE EVENING RECORD NOTE: I have listed six articles on Harry B. Doremus from November 20, 1918 to January 2, 1919 there may be more before and after this time period. The first two articles speak of him as being alive. The third on December 3, 1918 tells of his death. He was KIA on October 27, 1918 the three articles that follow the December 3 article tell of his bravery and his devotion to his men. These articles are letters from the men at the front who would not use the word ‘bravery' lightly and are very graphic in there explanation of life in the trenches during World War I. Whether Harry B. Doremus was killed by a machine gun bullet or a snipers bullet I do not know which account is correct, some things in reporting the horrors of war do not seem to lesson the loss.
